FSP network planner

ADVA Optical Networking’s FSP Network Planner is an easy-to-use software tool designed to simplify the network planning process and save valuable time preparing network configurations with ADVA Optical Networking's Fiber Service Platform (FSP) product portfolio.

Enterprise and service provider customers use the Network Planner to evaluate performance and cost optimized architectures for all point-topoint, add/drop and ring configurations supported by the FSP solutions. The system simplicity enables customers to perform their own network planning effort in minutes, or review and customize the work completed for them by ADVA Optical Networking certified network consultants.

The FSP Network Planner starts with a Wizard feature that enables customers to enter the basic requirements of fiber topology, type and attenuation along with service relations, type and protection options. The software can then automatically calculate an optimized system design, architecture diagram, node configuration picture, cabling plan, plus a list of all materials with prices to be forwarded as an itemized purchase order.

The step-by-step options enable the user to control design assumptions along the process and even abort or retrace each step. Special alerts help notify when optional modules, such as dispersion compensation or optical amplification, are required. Interactive “what if” scenarios provide users with the flexibility to optimize designs, not only for the initial installation, but also for planned upgrades.
